Die H=C3=B6lle im Kongo

Sehr geehrter Herr Gabriel,
"Wir alle hier leben in der H=C3=B6lle." Das sind die drastischen Worte
des 14-j=C3=A4hrigen Henri. Der Junge aus der Demokratischen Republik
Kongo (DR Kongo) ist vernarbt und gebrochen: Henri wurde von den
Milizen missbraucht und gegen seinen Willen als Kindersoldat zum
Kampf rekrutiert. Er musste zusehen als Mitglieder seiner Familie
vergewaltigt und anschlie=C3=9Fend ermordet wurden.
Auf unserer Fahrt vor wenigen Jahren in die DR Kongo konnten wir
aufgrund der einmarschierenden Rebellen nicht weit reisen. Die
Stra=C3=9Fen waren von Kindern mit Maschinengewehren =C3=BCbers=C3=A4t und =
wir
hatten nur eingeschr=C3=A4nkten Ausgang. Allerdings lag ein Jugendheim
ehemaliger Kindersoldaten in Goma in unmittelbarer N=C3=A4he zu unserer
Unterkunft, sodass wir dort mit den Kindern sprechen konnten.
Die Kinder der DR Kongo werden durch ethnische Gewalt sowie
Zusammenst=C3=B6=C3=9Fe zwischen Armee, Milizen und bewaffneten Gruppen
vertrieben =E2=80=93 eine der weltweit gr=C3=B6=C3=9Ften Fl=C3=BCchtlingskr=
isen f=C3=BCr
Kinder. Diese Vertreibung und Gewalt hat zudem zu einer
Ern=C3=A4hrungs- und Gesundheitskrise gef=C3=BChrt.
Gesch=C3=A4tzte 2,2 Millionen Kinder werden in diesem Jahr im Kongo
unter akuter Mangelern=C3=A4hrung leiden. Das sind unglaubliche 12
Prozent der unterern=C3=A4hrten Kinder weltweit.
Bereits 750.000 Kinder leiden aktuell in der Region an schwerer
Unterern=C3=A4hrung und k=C3=B6nnten 2018 sterben, wenn sie nicht mit
lebensrettenden Gesundheits- und Ern=C3=A4hrungsma=C3=9Fnahmen versorgt
werden.

Hunderttausende Kinder in der Region haben keinen Zugang mehr zu
medizinischer Versorgung und Bildung. Die meisten sind von
Gr=C3=A4ueltaten seitens der K=C3=A4mpfer betroffen. Es ist eine brutale
Situation f=C3=BCr die Kinder - in der Tat die H=C3=B6lle.
Im Rahmen eines Notfallprogramms in den betroffenen Gebieten
unterst=C3=BCtzt UNICEF die vertriebene Bev=C3=B6lkerung in mehreren
Bereichen:
- Schutz, Behandlung und psychosoziale Unterst=C3=BCtzung von Kindern,
die von Gewalt betroffen sind sowie von verletzten oder
unbegleiteten Kindern
- Vertriebene und R=C3=BCckkehrer werden mit Gesundheits- und
Ern=C3=A4hrungsma=C3=9Fnahmen, Bildungsprogrammen sowie Wasser versorgt
und besch=C3=BCtzt
- Impfkampagnen gegen Masern sowie Vorbeugung und Behandlung von
Cholera und Malaria
- Hilfe f=C3=BCr unterern=C3=A4hrte Kinder
- Tempor=C3=A4re Schulen werden eingerichtet und Kinder mit
Schulmaterial ausgestattet. Zudem erhalten Lehrer eine
Ausbildung in der Friedenserziehung

„Wir alle hier leben in der Hölle.“ Das sind die drastischen Worte des 14-jährigen Henri. Der Junge aus der Demokratischen Republik Kongo (DR Kongo) ist vernarbt und gebrochen: Henri wurde von den Milizen missbraucht und gegen seinen Willen als Kindersoldat zum Kampf rekrutiert. Er musste zusehen als Mitglieder seiner Familie vergewaltigt und anschließend ermordet wurden.
<br/><br/>
Auf unserer Fahrt vor wenigen Jahren in die DR Kongo konnten wir aufgrund der einmarschierenden Rebellen nicht weit reisen. Die Straßen waren von Kindern mit Maschinengewehren übersät und wir hatten nur eingeschränkten Ausgang. Allerdings lag ein Jugendheim ehemaliger Kindersoldaten in Goma in unmittelbarer Nähe zu unserer Unterkunft, sodass wir dort mit den Kindern sprechen konnten.

Die Kinder der DR Kongo werden durch ethnische Gewalt sowie Zusammenstöße zwischen Armee, Milizen und bewaffneten Gruppen vertrieben – eine der weltweit größten Flüchtlingskrisen für Kinder. Diese Vertreibung und Gewalt hat zudem zu einer Ernährungs- und Gesundheitskrise geführt.<br/><br/>
<strong>Geschätzte 2,2 Millionen Kinder werden in diesem Jahr im Kongo unter akuter Mangelernährung leiden. Das sind unglaubliche 12 Prozent der unterernährten Kinder weltweit.</strong>

Bereits 750.000 Kinder leiden aktuell in der Region an schwerer Unterernährung und könnten 2018 sterben, <a href="https://www.united-internet-for-unicef-stiftung.de/spenden/hilfe-zu-ostern-1und1?utm_source=1und1&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ostern-text&mid=1und1" target="_blank">wenn sie nicht mit lebensrettenden Gesundheits- und Ernährungsmaßnahmen versorgt werden.</a>
<br/><br/>
Hunderttausende Kinder in der Region haben keinen Zugang mehr zu medizinischer Versorgung und Bildung. Die meisten sind von Gräueltaten seitens der Kämpfer betroffen. Es ist eine brutale Situation für die Kinder - in der Tat die Hölle.
<br/><br/>
Im Rahmen eines Notfallprogramms in den betroffenen Gebieten unterstützt UNICEF die vertriebene Bevölkerung in mehreren Bereichen:
<ul style="line-height: 24px;">
<li>Schutz, Behandlung und psychosoziale Unterstützung von Kindern, die von Gewalt betroffen sind sowie von verletzten oder unbegleiteten Kindern</li>
<li>Vertriebene und Rückkehrer werden mit Gesundheits- und Ernährungsmaßnahmen, Bildungsprogrammen sowie Wasser versorgt und beschützt</li>
<li>Impfkampagnen gegen Masern sowie Vorbeugung und Behandlung von Cholera und Malaria</li>
<li>Hilfe für unterernährte Kinder</li>
<li>Temporäre Schulen werden eingerichtet und Kinder mit Schulmaterial ausgestattet. Zudem erhalten Lehrer eine Ausbildung in der Friedenserziehung</li>
